Amazing view of a familiar Singapore site by Tia via Urban Sketchers Singapore. I wonder if those random and quick colourful blots in the sky are deliberate or "accidents" while sketching outdoor? Either way they sure add alot to the whole vibrant mood of the picture. It's colours and lines like this that always give me the urge to sketch, sketch, sketch...

Discovered another interesting blog, My sketchbook. How aptly put... Haha... sometimes it's really a wonder how we can be so advanced economically but so backward in other areas. I guess we are positioned in a good time to do something more for our home.

| kitty's sky fr when skies are grey |
Reading those blogs that are still "in business" gives me a warm feeling, like getting to see a friend again, seeing how their lives have changed. The nice kitty photo above is from one of my favourite blog when skies are grey, it has some of the most awesome clay figurines, which I always find glossy attractive, in a good way of course. Hoping that you have a lazy cloudy enjoyable Sunday!

Pokke

More of Pokke's life photos here
If you love cats and you have not seen this site then you are in for a BIG treat. Introducing Pokke (I'm guessing that's this adorable kitty's name, coz I don't read Jap) the cat!! I can imagine other cats looking with envy at Pokke's daily photos and the cool stuffs that Pokke has (even I envy!!). I especially love that kitty shaped house!! (can get in Spore?) The blog is in Jap so I tried turning on the Google translation and got things like "dishes are using Pocket" below Pokke's dishes haha...
Well enjoy the photos! The weekend is here yet again.....

photos via 不务正业Been wanting to add 不务正业 to my blogroll, firstly becoz it has the same name as my blog (I swear I didn't copy this blog name when I came up with mine). Secondly, it has some amazing photos. Every photos seem to tell a story of its own, leaving you wanting to find out more.
It's only recently that I realise how important it is for a image to tell a story. Stupid as it may seem but it's just too natural, you see. The moment we set eyes on an image, our brain immediately paints a mental story for us. It's so instinctive, so automatic that I don't even realize it's presence and importance. Which reminds me of the drama module I took back in uni days, something about audiences viewing a performance and coming up with their own interpretations. Wonder how that drama teacher is doing? I still remember the first time he/she came in to lecture, I thought he is a she, all the way till he introduced himself. Well, alot of times the picture painted instinctively by our minds maybe right but that's also where the problem lies at times, becoz we start to stereotype, isn't it? Choosing to depend on the familiarities form in our mind instead of taking the time to see and hear the little details presented to us.
Can't time run faster? If only January is here... oh and here's a cat picture I came across in yuiMADE, when can I have my own feline companion *sign

I'm just absolutely drawn by this photo, the jeans, the belt, converse and oh the specs... it's a chic world always at the sartorialist.Armed with a Filet-O-fish burger and a bottle of chocolate milk, but Garfield (this cute Garfield look-alike cat) failed to make his( I think it's a he) round at NUS. Disappointing.
Becoz of Garfield, I got to know that HDB owners are not allowed to have cats in their homes. It totally doesn't make sense to me as certain dogs are allowed in HDB. Obviously, whoever came up with the ruling either doesn't like cats or don't care to find out more about cats. Now I understand why I see some aunties feeding cats at void decks. Hmm... wait, but I remember one f my friends stays in HDB but he has 2 cats. So you see as long as you take good care of your cats and have non-kapok neighbours, it's still okay to have cats in your HDB? Or is he not staying in flats? Maybe he stays in a condo? Then how come condo owners can have cats but not HDB owners? Really don't makes sense. Or am I wrong?

Miyuki Tsugami really like this artist paintings!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (oops..)
Lucie Rie- an incredible image of artist at work; never fails to get me imagining having to paint, or play with ceramics the whole day long, in a studio of my own that is faraway from other humans.I discovered another beautiful blog today: a slowboat to mediocrity, seen it quite a few times on a few blogs but only click on it today. Discovered some really nice images there! Made my day!
