if a house can talk, what stories will it tell of the people living in it?

I'm looking forward to see how the future generation of Singaporeans will view arts. Becoz it's pretty encouraging to see that most of the people visiting museums, art events are young people. It's surprising becoz only when I spoke to a older uncle recently did I realize that. The more I try to understand contemporary arts, the more confused I get. On the one hand, I feel that they can be viewed very meaningfully but they can be totally trashy too. Just like the feeling I get when I am reading Jack Kerouac's "On the road". Oops... Hope I don't get beaten up by the beat generation fans. I wonder why Dean is Sal's good friend? Or is that even the appropriate way to term their relationship. Somehow, the images on the blog "Ghost in the Snow" reminds me of scenes/characters from "On". Hmm... And somehow, "Ghost in the Snow" has this eerie addiction on my palette.

Paper on paper - on trying to look sophisticated. This shall be my new theme this rainy Sunday which will commerce once the house is empty. (the above is the result which kinda remind me of a decapitated lamb's head, which in fact is a crushed tissue paper sitting on a kitchen floor)

Bought 2 boxes of "Superclay" from a oldies bookshop in the west today. Didn't realize it's really so tough to nian something out of it. My cd player is working again(big grin), any recommendations on a cd that one must definitely own? One of the reasons why I don't like to buy books is becoz its an expensive hobby & I really prefer just reading than owning books coz somehow it reminds me of guys buying their toys or women buying their handbags. I wonder when my desktop will stop protesting & work normally so I can upload some pictures here. I finally drew something today too, something I have been wanting to do but just couldn't get myself to do. Just like my last relationship which I should have ended much earlier but just couldn't do it. Have you been not wanting to sleep very often lately? When your eyes have thatspicy, tired feeling but you just refuse to let them rest. Why? Does it matter? Well, none of your business, right?

I will love to write something intelligent, soulful, touching here but so often my mind is so full of the right, interesting things to write before I actually write that once I get down to really starting to write I shoot myself dead in my tracks.

Do head down to Singapore Arts Museum if you have time, there's a specutaclar piece of work on display by Jane Lee along the huge wall facing the stairs. It was her other work called "Status" which I initially got to know this artist(although I have only seen it off a brochure & the page has been sitting on my desk since then). I read that "Status" has been bought by the same museum so hopefully I will get to see it in real life in the near future:) have added her website in my sidebar, where you can see her works & the process of art making which plays an equally important role in her art.

2011 Chinese New Year Paintings

Have you done your spring cleaning yet? This year I'm changing the fengshui of my room with the changing of position of my bed and a few shelves here and there. Loads of digging up of old stuffs, discarding of super dusty stuffs and my nose running a million miles. It's pretty theurapeutic though, traveling down memory lane as each old toys or stuff hold a fragment of my long gone days. I think my favourite part of Chinese new Year is the spring cleaning though, tiring but fulfilling at the end of it...:) (gorilla is fr Planet Hollywood, Sydney, while Muppets are fr McDonalds, boy they still look so new & fresh)
